In collaboration with the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), the Telangana Builders Federation (TBF), and the Telangana Developers Association (TDA), the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) emphasized the significance of high-rise apartments in promoting growth and meeting the increasing demand for housing in the city.

City developers have disregarded recent reports about the hazards of high-rise buildings. They assert that incorporating high-rise apartments in the city is essential to create modern residential complexes that provide housing and contemporary amenities, aligning with global cities. Furthermore, they claim that all necessary safety protocols are being followed in compliance with government regulations.

According to P Ramakrishna Rao, the President of CREDAI Hyderabad, "Hyderabad is among the world's fastest-growing cities, with an average built area of 2-2.5 acres and 3-3.5 acres as per building regulations, with no allowance for additional built-up space. Since the formation of Telangana and the implementation of government policies favorable to the industry, construction activity has received a significant boost."

Murli Krishna Reddy, the President of CREDAI Telangana, stated that "TS-bPASS is an innovative and groundbreaking reform initiated by the Telangana State. It eliminates prolonged waiting periods and bureaucratic obstacles in obtaining building permits by providing a streamlined online system for quick and hassle-free approvals that are time-bound and user-friendly."

Sunil Chandra Reddy, the President of NAREDCO, Telangana, commented that "GO 86 was introduced in 2006, and minor amendments were made in 2012 to accommodate the growing population and enable the city to expand. The fire safety department follows a stipulated process to issue an occupancy certificate and a NOC."

G V Rao, the President of TDA, stated that "Every year, over five lakh people come to the city, and high-rise buildings are required to accommodate all of them; otherwise, land rates will soar, making it unaffordable with per square foot rates going up to Rs 15,000-20,000. The GRID policy is promoting development in other corridors beyond the West, which already has a high density of development."

C Prabhakar Rao, the President of TBF, explained that "Builders had previously requested the government to permit unrestricted FSI to construct high-rise buildings to accommodate the increasing population and housing demands. Consequently, in 2006, the government issued GO 86, which is still in effect with minor revisions. This has enabled the city to keep up with the escalating housing needs."

Rajashekar Reddy, Secretary of CREDAI Hyderabad, mentioned that the demand for luxury apartments in Hyderabad has risen. In February, the contribution of apartment registrations in the Rs 1 crore+ category increased from 8% to 10% YoY, while the affordable segment's contribution remained at 18%.

He further commented, "A third-party auditor must inspect the fire systems of all high-rise buildings and the data must be uploaded with the Fire department to ensure the systems are properly maintained. As a result, concerns about fire safety hazards in high-rise apartments are overstated, as both authorities and builders are taking adequate measures to ensure the safety of residents."

According to Vijay Sai Meka, the Secretary General of NAREDCO Telangana, "The recent innovative proposals from the fire department, such as using drones to control fire spread during accidents and using robots to pour water, will help minimize damage during fire accidents and keep occupants safe. These proposals will significantly contribute to making buildings in Hyderabad safer."
