Government to Tackle Challenges in Hyderabad's Real Estate Industry

 

 Santhi Kumari, the Chief Secretary, led a meeting of the Coordination Committee aimed at tackling the obstacles confronted by the real estate sector. The attendees comprised representatives from key real estate organizations like the Telangana Builders Federation, the Telangana Development Association, and CREDAI. Additionally, officials from several government departments including municipal administration, revenue, irrigation, commercial tax, and labor were also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, representatives from the real estate industry raised concerns about the challenges they were encountering and sought the government's assistance in resolving them. They emphasized that the current master plan had deficiencies that were impeding the industry's progress. The participants further discussed the establishment of a committee by the municipal administration to tackle these shortcomings and the formulation of a new master plan.

The builders appealed to Hyderabad Metro Water Works for the provision of temporary connections, encompassing water and electricity, at construction sites. They also suggested the establishment of a help desk at the offices of GHMC and HMDA to aid petitioners in resolving their queries. Furthermore, they emphasized the necessity of conducting a comprehensive re-survey to address land-related issues and identify water bodies within the HMDA limits.

Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari responded to the concerns raised by the real estate industry, offering reassurance that the government is committed to addressing the identified issues and will implement necessary measures to resolve them. She conveyed the government's commitment to fostering improved collaboration with builders, aiming to establish a favorable environment within the state and facilitate the seamless operation of the real estate business.

Arvind Kumar, the Special Chief Secretary of Municipal Administration, emphasized that the enduring challenges faced by the real estate industry would be effectively resolved. The meeting witnessed the active involvement of key individuals including N Satyanarayana, Chairman of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Naveen Mittal, Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Dana Kishore, Meetu Prasad, the Director of Hyderabad Metro Water Works, the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, and several other officials were present during the meeting.
