The Lokayukta received a complaint on October 15 from P Dhananjaya, a Mantri Serenity home buyer, stating that RERA Chairman Kishore Chandra had neglected his duties. In 2016, Mantri was supposed to give me the keys to my apartment, but they didn't. In order to get assistance, I turned to RERA. RERA had not taken any action despite the passing of two years.

I therefore made the decision to file a complaint with RERA and also to submit it to the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum. When the two parties reached a settlement, the authority declared the case to be closed and issued an order stating as such.

This is incorrect in every way; after all, I went to the Lokayukta on Saturday because no settlement had been made, Dhananjaya claimed. According to a source, the incident was only a clerical error that was exaggerated. "There is a template that is always used whenever a matter is closed, and the Chairman has signed it.
