The TSRERA Act came into force in July 2017 - one year after the enactment of the Central Rera Act. While some senior officials are assigned additional responsibilities from time to time, no one is officially appointed to these posts by government orders.
Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar is still listed as the TSRERA Chairperson on the TSRERA website. As mandated by the central act, the TSRERA does not even have two full-time members. It has not even set up a selection committee to recommend names to the government for these positions.
