Is RERA applicable for existing projects?

Yes. RERA Act is applicable for all existing or ongoing projects which have not received a completion certificate. This means that all real estate projects that are not fully certified by a completion certificate are covered by the RERA Act. Hence, developers and builders must register such projects under RERA. So that customers of projects under construction can be protected under the RERA Act.
