Is RERA applicable to redevelopment projects?

Yes. RERA applies to Redevelopment projects if the development area exceeds 500 square meters or if more than 8 building units are built. It does not distinguish between ongoing development projects and redevelopment projects as developers market the projects. Hence, compliance with RERA is inevitable for redevelopment projects also.
