All new projects and those under construction come under the ambit of RERA. The authority ensures that a developer delivers what he promised to buyers as mentioned in the sale agreement, including adherence to the completion schedule.
If the builder fails to register a project with RERA, the customer may file a complaint with the authority or adjudicating officer designated under section 31 of the RERA Act. Homebuyers can contact not only the RERA Authority in the state but also other legal entities.
