When was the RERA Bill proposed?

The RERA Bill was drafted in 2013. It was passed by the Rajya Sabha on March 10, 2016, and passed by the Lok Sabha on March 15, 2016. In December 2015, the Union Cabinet approved 20 major amendments to the bill based on the recommendations of the Rajya Sabha committee. The RERA Bill was approved by the President of India on 25 March, 2016 and came into force on 1 May, 2016.
