Amid uncertainty, Hyderabad realty firms head to US to promote projects

Hyderabad’s real estate developers are gearing up for their first-ever property show in the United States, targeting the Telugu diaspora amid economic uncertainties and market fluctuations. With around 30 realty firms participating, the event will take place in Frisco (Dallas) and Santa Clara (California) in April, showcasing premium projects priced between Rs 2 crore and Rs 2.5 crore.

Developers aim to restore confidence among non-resident Indian (NRI) buyers and dispel concerns about Hyderabad’s property market. The projects on display will primarily include luxury apartments, villas, and commercial ventures concentrated along the Gachibowli-Narsingi-Kokapet corridor. However, a portion of offerings will also feature properties from emerging areas like Uppal and the eastern parts of the city, catering to buyers from districts such as Nizamabad and Kamareddy.

The initiative is well-timed, considering the strengthening US dollar and increasing investor interest in Indian real estate. NRIs, particularly Telugu-speaking professionals in the US, are keen on securing properties in Hyderabad as a financial backup in case of policy changes affecting their immigration status. Many believe that despite rising property prices and regulatory crackdowns, attractive deals and investment-friendly policies could encourage them to invest in commercial and residential projects.

Industry experts suggest that while concerns over the Trump administration’s visa policies exist, they have inadvertently accelerated investment plans among NRIs looking for stability. With easier access to loans in the US and better returns from commercial real estate, Hyderabad’s market remains a lucrative option. The upcoming property show aims to capitalize on this sentiment, strengthening the city’s real estate appeal among global investors.
