The CREDAI-MCHI Property Expo 2025 is making history as the first real estate platform in India to openly advocate for LGBTQ+ homeownership. Taking place from January 17-19 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, this transformative event addresses decades of marginalization faced by the LGBTQ+ community in the housing sector, from rental discrimination to home loan rejections and legal ambiguity. The Expo emphasizes inclusivity, aiming to bridge gaps and provide equal opportunities for all homebuyers.
With over 10,000 attendees expected from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, the Expo features housing options starting at Rs14 lakhs, with additional Rs2 lakh discounts for women buyers and special incentives for LGBTQ+ buyers. Developers, financial institutions, and policymakers are coming together to eliminate barriers, introduce LGBTQ+-friendly housing projects, and create a welcoming environment for underrepresented communities.
The Expo also hosts panels addressing legal and financial issues faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, covering topics like co-ownership, inheritance rights, and bias in the financial system. Renowned panelists, including Sachin Jain of GHAR and Aanchal Narang of Another Light Counselling, will lead discussions to challenge industry norms and push for lasting change.
The event’s flagship conclave, "Her Home, Her Honour," will spotlight the session “Beyond the Binary: Breaking Barriers in Real Estate,” directly confronting biases against LGBTQ+ homeownership. This bold initiative positions India’s real estate sector as a global leader in diversity and equity, ensuring homeownership becomes a reality for everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
The CREDAI-MCHI Property Expo 2025 isn’t just an event; it’s the beginning of a movement that redefines inclusivity in Indian real estate, making the dream of homeownership accessible to all.
