Godrej Properties Plans to Raise ₹6,000 Crore via QIP Issue

Godrej Properties Limited (GPL), a leading real estate company owned by the Adi Godrej family, is set to raise ₹6,000 crore through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) of shares. The company plans to issue approximately 23.1 million shares at ₹2,595 per share, resulting in an 8.3% equity dilution. The QIP was launched on November 27, with shares expected to be listed and traded by December 6. The proceeds will be used for acquiring land, land development rights, and general corporate purposes, focusing on NCR, MMR, Bengaluru, and Pune.

In 2024, Godrej Properties aggressively acquired over 262 acres of land across cities like Kolkata, Gurugram, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad, with revenue potential exceeding ₹29,000 crore. The company also recorded its highest-ever Q2 booking value in FY25 at ₹5,198 crore, representing a 3% YoY growth from over 5.1 million square feet sold. It plans  launch projects worth ₹30,000 crore  FY25.

As of November 29, GPL shares closed at ₹2,777.45 on the BSE, with a market capitalization of approximately ₹77,230 crore, reflecting robust investor confidence.
