K-RERA Launches Upgraded Website to Provide Buyers with Precise Details on Real Estate Projects

Enhanced K-RERA Website Provides Accurate Real Estate Project Details to Buyers on Wednesday, the Kerala Real Estate Regulatory Authority (K-RERA) unveiled its updated website to provide potential buyers with precise details about real estate projects in Kerala.

The renovated website of the Kerala Real Estate Regulatory Authority (K-RERA) was inaugurated by Minister for Local Self-Governments M.B. Rajesh. The website, Kerala RERA News, has been upgraded with GIS technology and features a 'property exploration tool.' This tool facilitates prospective buyers in conveniently locating apartments, villas, and commercial spaces across any district in Kerala, as confirmed by K-RERA.

Mr. Rajesh highlighted that the revamped website offers benefits to both prospective buyers and promoters of real estate projects. He emphasized that the website provides accurate information to potential buyers, safeguarding them from fraudulent practices. Additionally, he explained that the website creates commercial opportunities for builders by promoting transparency, accountability, and credibility in the real estate sector.

Essential Project Documents

The website incorporates data obtained from the mandatory documents submitted by property developers during project registration. These documents encompass building plans, building permits, registration certificates, approvals, sanctions, completion, and occupancy certificates, as well as title deeds. By including this comprehensive information, the website ensures that users have access to crucial details regarding the properties.

K-RERA stated that the revamped website enables buyers to monitor both the physical and financial advancement of projects. Additionally, it provides valuable insights into the background, and track record of property developers, and any associated legal disputes. The development of the website was accomplished through a collaboration between K-RERA and Xocortx Advanced Systems, a company registered with the Kerala Startup Mission.

State regulators are mandated by the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, of 2016, to establish a web-based online system for project registration applications. K-RERA initiated its operations and introduced an online portal in 2021, which has now been enhanced with additional features.

The presence of K-RERA Chairman P.H. Kurian, members Preetha Menon and M.P. Mathews, Secretary Sheeba Rani, IT Division Head Rahul Chandran, and the Director of Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation, K.J. Joseph, was observed during the event.
