VP Nandakumar, the managing director and CEO of Kerala-based non-banking financial company Manappuram Finance Ltd, has purchased a sea-facing apartment on Mumbai's prime Carter Road for Rs 41.25 crore. The transaction was facilitated by the real estate proptech company NoBroker.
Spanning 4,500 sq ft, the luxurious apartment is situated in the West Bandra locality. The property registration took place on April 24, with the seller being S Raheja Developers. Nandakumar paid a stamp duty of Rs 2.3 crore for the property.
According to sources, the residence will be home to Nandakumar's son, who currently manages the family business in Mumbai. This marks the family's first property investment in the city, originating from Kerala.
NoBroker, which recently ventured into the luxury real estate segment, caters to specific customer demands for high-end apartments, villas, row houses, and holiday homes priced at Rs 10 crore and above.
In related news, a luxury bungalow in Mumbai's Juhu Vile Parle residential enclave, known for being home to several Bollywood actors, was put up for auction on June 20. The bungalow, located in the Nutan Laxmi Cooperative Society and about a kilometre from Juhu Beach, features eight floors, including a duplex on the top floor, and spans 7,200 sq ft with only one 4BHK per floor.
Additionally, on June 3, actress Triptii Dimri, known for her roles in films like "Animal," "Bulbbul," and "Qala," purchased a luxury property in Mumbai's Bandra West, off Carter Road, for Rs 14 crore.
