In a significant stride towards empowering women and ensuring housing rights, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to distribute registered conveyance deeds of house sites to around 20,000 underprivileged women in Ongole. This initiative, slated for Friday, aims to grant full ownership rights over the allotted sites to the beneficiaries.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, the state government has expedited the registration process for house sites, streamlining the administrative procedures. The distribution of conveyance deeds marks a pivotal moment in fulfilling the long-pending aspirations of these women.
Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao lauded the move, highlighting its transformative impact on the lives of the beneficiaries. With the conveyance deeds, beneficiaries will gain absolute title rights over their house sites, safeguarding them from legal complexities in the future.
The registration process, spanning across 15,004 village/ward secretariats statewide, ensures meticulous record-keeping to prevent forgery or tampering. Beneficiaries can readily access certified copies of their land records from these offices, enhancing transparency and accountability.
Moreover, after a decade, beneficiaries will enjoy unrestricted rights over their house sites, including the ability to buy, sell, donate, or inherit them without bureaucratic hurdles. This monumental decision underscores the commitment of the state government to empower marginalized sections of society.
The initiative forms part of a larger endeavor, wherein approximately 31.19 lakh women have been granted free house site pattas across 17,005 layouts, covering vast expanses of land. The combined value of these plots, ranging from Rs. 2.5 lakhs to Rs. 15 lakhs, signifies a substantial investment in uplifting disadvantaged communities.
Furthermore, the government's ambitious housing scheme, encompassing the construction of 22 lakh houses at a cost of Rs. 60,000 crores, reflects its dedication to providing dignified living conditions for all citizens. Basic amenities such as water supply, electricity, drainage, sewerage, and roads are being efficiently provided in YSR-Jagananna colony layouts across the state, totaling an investment of Rs. 32,909 crores.
As the distribution of registered deeds commences, it heralds a new era of empowerment and socio-economic progress, reaffirming the government's resolve to prioritize the welfare of its citizens, particularly women and marginalized communities
