Some builders, promoters and developers follow a joint stake in projects in the guise of an undivided share of land that has not yet been launched or built at a nominal and discounted price. Recently, Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar had a meeting with CREDAI representatives and other real estate companies on issues related to UDS. "Some builders, developers and promoters are offering residential and commercial space on the proposed land for development in UDS form. Amounts collected from buyers are being diverted for other purposes without being used for related projects. Buyers of the project are at risk of making a purchase that has not been initiated or delayed or not built," the chief secretary said in his circular. The Telangana government has advised the public not to buy Undivided Share (UDS) land in private real estate companies.
