The Telangana government has cracked down on illegal land schemes that sell undivided shares (UDS) in real estate projects. These illegal land sales attract severe penalties of up to 10% of the total project cost.
In addition to warning default builders, the latest circular issued by the RERA chairman warns the general public not to buy such flats/plots as they are at risk of being deceived by such promoters/builders.
