Delhi Development Authority (DDA) gears up for the third phase of its electronic auction (e-auction) for 257 luxurious flats, including coveted penthouses in Dwarka sector 19B, commencing from March 5. As per officials familiar with the matter, registration for the e-auction has already commenced, with February 28 being the deadline for registration.
In this phase, the reserve prices have been established to maintain fairness in the bidding process. Notably, the reserve price for a penthouse stands at Rs 5 crore, while for High Income Group (HIG) apartments, it is Rs 2.05 crore. Meanwhile, the reserved price for Middle Income Group (MIG) 2BHK units is set at Rs 1.2 crore.
This auction marks the continuation of DDA’s Festival Special Housing Scheme 2023, which aims to provide a total of 32,000 flats across various categories including penthouses, Super HIG, HIG, MIG, LIG, and EWS.
The earlier rounds of e-auction have witnessed significant participation, with 274 out of 296 apartments being booked in the first round conducted on January 5, and the second round, featuring 707 apartments, taking place on February 5.
It's noteworthy that while penthouses, Super HIG, and HIG flats are being offered through e-auction in different phases, MIG apartments, along with LIG and EWS flats, are allocated on a 'first come first serve' basis.
The upcoming auction will feature a diverse range of flats, including 123 HIG 3BHK units, 132 2BHK MIG flats, and two luxury duplex penthouses. Of particular interest are the penthouses, of which the DDA has constructed only 14, leaving only two available for auction.
